Getting Off – a review

This spring Undividing Lines Magazine invited me to review ‘Getting Off – The Unlikely Chronicles of a Solosexual On PrEP’, the new book by Jason Armstrong, author of the groundbreaking ‘Solosexual – Portrait of a Masturbator’.

‘Getting Off’ and ‘Solosexual’ are both important additions to the canon of literary writing on the gay male experience, and touch on themes as diverse as masturbation, porn, sex parties, chemsex, addiction, and what it means to be a sexually active gay man in the early 21st century.

My piece also contains highlights of a wide-ranging discussion between me and the author on some of the topics covered by both books.
